Pata Negra Rueda Sauvignon Blanc

General Information

Wine type: White

Grape: Sauvignon Blanc

Vineyard

The Rueda wines are made in Serrada, with the origin of the winery dating back to the late 17th century. It has 500 hectares of vineyards divided by the Duero River, an area currently considered the best in the world for wine production. The exceptional climate of this region, with an altitude between 600–750m, along with adequate rainfall, makes this land very suitable for the development of vineyards.

Winemaking

The winemaking process begins with selection of the finest grapes, all harvested at night to preserve the freshness of the aroma. The must is obtained with the help of gentle pressing, extracting the aromatic components before fermentation. Then, fermentation is done in stainless steel tanks with temperature control between 13–15°C, and lasts about 15 days.

Tasting Notes:

This clean and bright wine is pale yellow in colour. On the nose, it is highly aromatic and fresh, with a variety of aromas, including tropical fruit, anise and boxwood. It is clean and refreshing, with good body structure and a long, delicious finish.

Pairings

This wine pairs excellently with light meals, such as rice and seafood.

We recommend serving very cold, between 4–6°C.
